John E. “Jack” Schuett founded The Schuett Companies, Inc. in the early 1970’s. He was a pioneer in the affordable housing arena. Over his career he syndicated and developed more than  3,000 multi-family units representing over 30 different partnerships. Jack began his career as a Certified Public Accountant in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He moved his family to Minnesota in 1964 and prior to founding The Schuett Companies, Inc. he was the Controller for several local companies.  Jack left a legacy of care and concern for low-income families and seniors. He was highly regarded in the industry and was known for well-maintained properties. Jack fiercely protected the interests of his investors, many of whom have written letters commending Jack on the “great” investments he offered.

In April 2013, Jack passed away. For the last 6 years of his life he battled Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF). As the disease progressed his lungs hardened and breathing became painstakingly difficult. Jack was a contributor to several organizations committed to battling this disease.
